By Function

• Passenger Elevators: For transporting people in residential and commercial buildings.
• Service Elevators: For transporting staff and goods in hotels and hospitals.
• Freight Elevators: For heavy loads, cargo, and equipment in industrial settings.
• Dumbwaiters: Small lifts for food or small items, common in restaurants.

Doors

Lift doors are categorized by operating method, opening style, and vision style.

By Operating Method

• Automatic Doors: Powered to open and close automatically.
• Manual Doors: Opened and closed by hand.

By Opening Style

• Center-Opening: Two panels slide away from the center.
• Single-Slide: One panel slides in one direction.
• Telescopic: Multiple panels slide and stack behind each other.
• Swing: Hinged doors that open outward.

By Vision Style

• Plain Doors: Solid doors for privacy and fire resistance.
• Small Vision Doors: Include a small window or vision panel for limited view.
• Half Vision Doors: Include a half-window for partial view.
